I'm so sorry I've been absent for quite some time. I've been away from home lately and hardly had time to post. Unfortunately, I won't be able to post very often for coming months either. And because I'm on the go very often, I won't be able to keep up with the Year's Challenge. My apologies in advance. But I'll still post whatever mani I'll come up with - depending on the polishes and other materials I'll have at my disposal.
So, let's move on to the nail stuff! :-)
No too long ago, I saw a gorgeous Gold Leaf Top Coat mani that Sarah from Chalkboard Nails created. So I went on and ordered the top coat, but since I've been away from home, I haven't got my hands on it yet - it's probably laying on my desk at home awaiting my return! :-) My boyfriend keeps me up to date with the nail mail that arrives for me, but all he tells me is that I got packages with nail stuff in it. It's pointless to ask him details such as who sent it, what's in the bottles, etc... So I'll just have to wait until I'm home again. But my point is that I don't have the Gold Leaf topcoat with me, but I wanted to try this manicure so badly since I bought my perfect turquoise green/blue polish. So I went to a craft store in search of those metal flakes, and I found this:
There was also the gold version of these flakes, but I totally fell in love with this multi-colored mix. Take a closer look to see it for yourself:
Gorgeous, isn't it? So here's how the finish looks turned out:
It's not as delicate as Sarah's mani, but I'm very pleased with the results. Not to mention that I'm totally in love with my new Kiko #389 polish. It's the shade of green/blue that I've been lemming for a long time. I have so many shades of turquoise/aqua but none of them is as bright and beautiful as this one. *DROOL*! ;-)
I hope you all liked it!
