Deborah Lippmann - Glitter in the Air

Hi girls (and guys)!

I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend! I'm still away from home, but I'll be returning soon (in a week or so) and will start updating my blog. I have loads of things to post, but I've had no time since I left.

Anyway, this is an oldie, but it's my all time favorite polish: Glitter in the Air by Deborah Lippmann.

I took this picture a long time ago, hence the old watermark. I can't recall the underwear I used. I know it's Essence and it's already discontinued. I'll update this post, when I figure out what it is called.

Glitter in the Air is so pretty and delicate! I got this polish as a gift from a super special friend, therefore it holds a special place in my little heart! <3

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for reading!

Saran(Cling) Wrap Technique

Hi everyone,

this is actually the first time that I'm trying the saran/cling wrap technique. It's actually very easy to do and the result is quite interesting. See it for yourself! :)

I've had this mani for about 3 - 4 days and I'm not bored with it yet. But to change the looks a bit, I topped it with China Glaze Matte Magic.

If you don't know how this technique works, just google it or check youtube for some tutorials.

Deborah Lippmann Let's Go Crazy

Hi lovely readers,

are you in the mood for a glitter bomb? Then take a look at this beauty:

I know some people have mixed feelings about this polish, and I do agree that the purple glitter base is a bit on the dense side, masking the glitter a bit. But I still think it's an awesome polish and it wasn't a waste of my money.

You can get full coverage in 2 coats but if you're not careful enough (like I was here), you may get some bald spots here and there.

gLORIous 22K Gold Leaf Topcoat

Hello again!

I told you in my previous post that I was full of energy again after my holidays. So I might as well use that energy to create new posts for you, right?! :) I'll be scheduling a bunch of posts with a 2-day interval so that I don't load you with posts all in one day.

This beauty I'm showing you today is gLORIous 22K Gold Leaf topcoat that I bought some time ago.

I've been dying to have a gold leaf topcoat since I first saw swatches of Rococo Gold Leaf at Chloe's Nails. I was tempted many times to spend my precious bucks on Rococo Gold Leaf and many times I actually added it to my shopping cart, but ended up not buying it. Time went by, and I regretted that I never have bought it. But then, Lori created this G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S. gold leaf topcoat for much less than Rococo's retail price. How awesome!

Application was amazing! With just one coat you get plenty of gold flakes on your nail. If you'd like to order this fabulous topcoat, check Lori's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/spectraflair4u) for some price and shipping information.

OPI Black Spotted - FAIL!

Hello there again!

I was dying to show you another take on OPI Black Spotted, but instead I have a kind of fail to show you. :-(

I don't know exactly what went wrong here:

This time the polish didn't form those well-defined spots like you see in other blogs and in my previous Black Spotted mani. I'm not sure whether this was due to the very thin coats of Black Spotted I applied or the surface of the base color DL Mermaid's Dream was too rough. It's not that bad, but it isn't the spotted effect I was hoping for.

It sort of reminds me of this lil fella here:

Sorry for the lack of cleanup around my nails. I just didn't want to spend any more time on this mani. I'll try my best next time! :-)

Deborah Lippmann - Mermaid's Dream

Hello everyone,

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend! I'm in the south of Germany right now, looking out of the window, hoping for the storm to come... I love listening to the sounds of thunder, but it seems that the storm won't come anymore as the sky is already clearing up...  In the meantime, I'll stare at my nails, cuz they're pretty damn cool! :-D

It's Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Dream:

It's such a gorgeous polish! When I first saw it back when it was released, I knew I had to have it! It was love at first sight! So my amazing Deborah Lippmann fairy helped me get my hands on this beauty! Thank you so much, B.! You're awesome! :-)

New Goodies!

I haven't been able to update my blog these days because I'm very busy preparing myself for a job selection in Germany. So it's all very hectic around here and I hardly have time for my nails :-( . But I'll do my best to keep my blog going.

This week I added some new polishes to my stash. My wish list is getting smaller! Nah, not really... I keep adding new polishes to it ;-P

So here are the little guys I've got:

  • Nubar Jewel
  • Nubar Prize
  • Nubar Night Sparkle

  • Nfu Oh GS14
  • Nfu Oh #570

And these last 2 were a gift from my boyfriend. He went to England last week and got me these 2 bottles  of Deborah Lippmann!!! So cool and so pretty!!!! Isn't he the coolest boyfriend on Earth? ;-). So here they are:

  • Deborah Lippmann Ruby Red Slippers
  • Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe

I can't wait to try them all out!!!

Happy Birthday!!!

Two weeks ago my best friend invited me to his birthday, so I decided to do something special for the occasion. For the design, I was inspired by Chloe's nails. I decided to use China Glaze Up All Night and Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday, both are great names for a birthday party! :-)

First I used 2 coats of ChG Up All Night, then I taped off part of my nails and added Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday. I finished it with one coat of Seche Vite.
