Penélope Luz - Pink World

The beauty I'm sharing with you today is Pink World created by the Brazilian indie brand Penélope Luz.

2 thin coats of Pink World over Illamasqua Ouija

Pink World is a mix of holographic pink hex glitters of different sizes and some holographic pink bars as well. The base is clear, which is perfect for layering it over other base colors. 

Lovely, isn't it?! :)

Illamasqua - Paranormal Nail Varnish Collection

Hello my dear readers,

Today I'd like to share with you this gorgeous Illamasqua Paranormal collection, which consists of 3 beautiful UV Glow nail polishes and a UV Glow top coat (not pictured in this post). 

Let's start with Omen, a bright green polish with a gorgeous shimmer.

And here's Omen under UV light. WOW! Look at that glow! 

Next is Ouija, a bright pink with lots of shimmer as well!

Ouija under UV light: STUNNING!!! 

Last but not least: Seance, a beautiful bright violet with the same shimmer finish as Omen and Ouija.

Seance under UV light: the glow is less intense when compared with the other 2, but still awesome! It may look similar to Ouija under the UV light, but they're definitely not the same. 

This collection is simply breathtaking and it's perfect for the night out or even halloween. Application was perfect! All 3 are very pigmented and apply effortlessly. They're definitely a must-have!

Shimmer - Julie

Hello again!

Today I want to introduce you to Shimmer Julie.

Julie is a colorful mix of glitters in different sizes and shapes in a clear base. This one is a true glitter bomb! Julie is such a beautiful and fun polish. It's like a rainbow in a bottle! The swatch above shows 2 coats of Julie over Illamasqua Prosperity.

I'll repeat myself again, because this applies to all Shimmer shades I've tried so far: Application is effortless and the glitter is easily and evenly distributed with each brush stroke. The glitters lay flat on the nail and they dry to a relatively smooth surface. It's not as gritty or rough as most glitter polishes of the same kind.

Illamasqua - Prosperity

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all doing well! Today I want to show something other than glitter or nail art. It's Illamasqua Prosperity!

Prosperity is part of the Rubber Brights collection launched by Illamasqua last summer (2012). It's a beautiful rich purple shade with a rubber finish. This purple shade is so me! Out of all the purple polishes I have, Prosperity is in my Top 5! Application was great! It's so rich and pigmented that only 2 thin coats were needed. 

I ordered this and 6 other Illamasqua nail polishes when they were offering a 50% off deal early this year. I wish Illamasqua had kept all the other Ruber Bright shades in their collection, because I really liked them all. I only managed to get my hands on Prosperity and Devotee, all others have been discontinued as they were Limited Edition.

Today I would like you to meet Astrid!

Astrid is a mix of opalescent, holographic and amethyst hex glitter in different sizes. Like all other Shimmer Polish I have tried so far, Astrid applies effortlessly and is packed with glitter. You'll get plenty of shimmer and sparkle in just one coat. For the swatch above I applied one thick coat of Astrid over a gradient using Illamasqua Jo'mina, OPI You're Such a Budapest and OPI Alpine Snow.

[Review] Born Pretty Store Rhinestones - Part 2

Hello again everyone,

this is the 2nd part of the BornPrettyStore.com Rhinestones review. If you missed the 1st part, just click here.

This time I went for a little more bling! I used the elliptical shaped rhinestones to create colorful half flowers and used the round and flower shaped silver rhinestones to complete this mani.

I really like the matte version but I had to apply topcoat over it just to make sure this mani would last long enough. And it did: 5 long days! The Rhinestones stayed well in place and laid really flat on the nails.
